MARCO'S WOODSTOCK CAR

This beautiful car is a 1968 Chevrolet Impala. My parent's bought it brand new in 68' and I was conceived in the backseat on the way to the original Woodstock in 1969 !
No, that's not true, but it sure makes for a great story!

Actually, I bought this car in Florida in 1989. I drove it for about four years and then I had the engine rebuilt. Then I ran out of money. She sat on blocks in my garage for some time and then in a friend's barn for most of six years. As part of her upkeep, I would start it up once in a while, take her out and wash her. I had many opportunities to sell her during this time, but ever since I had this car I had dreams of making her into the ultimate 60's mobile. I knew that if I sold her to someone else and I saw her going down the road, it would break my heart.

So I scrimped and saved until I had enough to do what I wanted, which is what you see here. But now, the dream is realized and I have to let her go. Truth is, I can't afford to have a toy like this in my life. So maybe your band sold a gazillion records, maybe you hit it big in the stock market or maybe your grandparent's left you a millionaire before you were 25.

Whatever... if you would like to own this unique piece of Americana, it is for sale. But I can't put a price on ten year's of dreams and hard work, I have to let you do that. So I will accept any and all offers until one feels right. Just think, taking a Sunday drive in this beauty!

I would like to thank the following people for their invaluable help:

Mike and Kelly Sinclair-Dubois for giving freely of themselves, their space and their resources. I could not have done it without them.
Mike's beautiful artwork adorns the trunk and also the passenger side door panel inside. John Jandura for providing the spectacular paint job and because he let me use his garage space for months and never once asked for a thing in return. In him, I have found a great new friend. Eugene and Michelle Slade for storing my car on their property and helping me transport it down to Woodstock. Eugene believed in this project when everyone else thought I was on drugs or something. Michele Carlise, (Rayna) moral supportist extraodinaire. She also did the driver's side door panel inside and various and sundry other tasks. Steve Brisson, my brother, who procured some very hard to find items for me and also has been firmly in my square since day one, literally. Bunny and Apple for teaming up and creating the awesome seat covers for me. Bunny also did the headliner and some other sewing. Mary Bedell for assisting with some painting and other miscellaneous tasks and for just generally cheering me on when the going got rough. Holly from Omega for her sewing expertise.  If there is anyone I overlooked or omitted I would like to at this time express my sincerest heartfelt appreciation for all your great help in making the longtime dream into a reality.

I hope you enjoy looking at this beauty.Although owning this car has been its own fulfillment, there are many thematic possibilities this car could fulfill..
